Dana Blumberg, M.D.

Clinical Interests

Dana Blumberg MD is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology who focuses on glaucomatous disease of the eye. Her clinical interests include medical, laser and surgical management of glaucoma. In addition to her clinical work, she is currently a recipient of the National Institute of Health’s Comparative Effectiveness Research Award, which focuses on understanding which methods of disease detection, treatment and management may be most effective in specific patient populations in real-world settings. Her current research focuses on ophthalmic imaging technology as it relates to screening and diagnosis of undetected glaucoma. Dr. Blumberg graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Biology, received her MD from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Following her ophthalmology training at Case Western Reserve University, she completed her fellowship training in glaucoma at Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University. She is currently completing her Masters in Public Health from the Mailman School at Columbia University.
