Pediatric Ophthalmology

Pediatric ophthalmologists are medical and surgical doctors who specialize in the eye problems of children.

Columbia Ophthalmology Consultants has a special division devoted to the treatment of children 15 and under. Eye problems in children require special attention, as the eye and general vision is still developing until age 9. A child can grow up with good vision if potential problems are caught early, treated and maintained.

Our physicians are specially trained in diagnosing and addressing eye disorders in children - from new born infants to older children.

Children experience a variety of eye problems, many quite distinct from adult eye diseases.
