Dr. Stephen Tsang was recently the subject of a Researcher Spotlight feature story in The Bench, Synthego genome engineering's e-newsletter covering the latest CRISPR news, updates, and research in the rapidly emerging field of CRISPR genome engineering, according to the website.
In this interview, Dr. Tsang's work, which focuses on promoting photoreceptor cell survival using CRISPR, was featured and follows discussion begun in recently a published paper. Dr. Tsang discussed his use of CRISPR to treat retinitis pigmentosa, an inherited eye disorder that results in blindness due to breakdown of retinal cells in mice.
