Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Multinodular squamous cell carcinoma arising from the superior palpebral conjunctiva and its close-up view.
  • Generally diagnosed in older individuals
  • Locally invasive, rarely metastasizes
  • Commonly develops in interpalpebral area but can occur in the palpebral conjunctiva and my invade the orbit or globe

Management

  • Complete surgical removal
  • May require mucous membrane graft following large tumor removal
