  • Among the causes of subacute or chronic angle-closure glaucoma.

Clinical Features

  • Symptoms: acute, intermittent attack or chronic angle closure glaucoma.
  • Signs:
    • Plateau configuration of the iris with deeper central anterior chamber but shallow in periphery
    • Relative pupillary block
  • Angle crowding by peripheral iris tissue.

Management

  • Laser iridotomy
  • Long-term miotic therapy
  • Peripheral iridoplasty
