Congenital Sutural

  • Usually congenital and familial with X-linked inheritance
  • Males usually have a significant cataract and females only have minimal opacities
  • Symptoms: vision is usually not affected, except in males with significant opacification
  • Signs: the opacity follows the shape of anterior or posterior Y suture and not progressive
