Clinical Features

  • Symptoms: asymptomatic
  • Signs:
    • Usually presents as a solitary and translucent cyctic nodule containing serous or milky secretions
    • Cystic lesion of the either apocrine or eccrine sweat glands
    • Apocrine hidrocystoma originate from the blocked excresion of the glands of moll, may occasionally encountered as multiple lesions and usually found on the lid margin.
    • Eccrine hidrocystoma are regarded as less common ductal retension cysts that are not confined to the lid margin.
