Third Annual Harkness Summer Science Fair

Dear Clinicians and Scientists,

Last year we held the Second annual Harkness Summer Science Fair in early August.  Over 50 scientific posters were presented by our own clinical and basic scientists, students, residents, fellows and post-docs.
Because of overwhelming participation, it was a tremendous success.  A number of new collaborations have already formed due to new relationships established at the Science Fair.
For those of you who are new to the idea of the Science Fair, we would like to provide some background.  Each year, well over a 100 scientific posters are presented at numerous national and international meetings by
our faculty, fellows, post-docs, residents and students.  Until we started the Harkness Summer Science Fair, there was no forum to share the results of our scientific endeavors among ourselves and our local community.  Now there is!

We are truly happy to announce the third annual Harkness Summer Science Fair to be held on Thursday, September 12th starting at 4:30 PM in the 1st Floor Eye Clinic, in the Harkness Eye Institute, 635 West 165th Street, New York, NY 10032. The format of the Science Fair will be a poster session from 4:30 until 6:00 PM.  As your posters have already been created and presented at various other meetings, no additional effort other than signing up for the event (see the URL below) and hanging your poster by 4 PM is necessary. In case you need to create or revisit your poster, please use the attached Poster Template. Academic poster stands, thumbtacks/fasteners, and removable tape will be provided.  Of course, wine and cheese will be served.
Please click on the link below to sign up for the event by August 23rd.  Please encourage your students, residents, fellows, and post-docs to sign up as well.
We look forward to seeing you at the Harkness Summer Science Fair and finding out about your amazing research!
