The Gloria and Louis Flanzer Vision Care CenterThe Department of Ophthalmology at Columbia University Medical Center is proud to announce the opening of The Gloria and Louis Flanzer Vision Care Center. The center is located at 880 Third Avenue, at 53rd Street and Third Avenue, in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The mission of the Department of Ophthalmology at Columbia University is to provide the best in clinical eye care to all patients. Our new midtown site is conveniently and strategically located for all patients based in Manhattan and for out-of-town patients seeking the clinical expertise of Columbia eye physicians. Our new site is convenient for patients traveling by public transportation from all boroughs within New York and outlying areas such as Long Island and Connecticut. This site provides state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, examination rooms, and laser facilities for patients referred with secondary and tertiary vision problems. In summary, the Columbia Comprehensive Eye Care Center increases access for all patients to the outstanding clinical services of the Columbia University faculty. The availability of linked subspecialty care and an enhanced diagnostics program offers a significant improvement in the quality of care for all patients, those who live in the New York metropolitan region and those who come from other parts of the United States and foreign countries.
